Shuang passed away in the early morning of January 8, 2012 at Zhongshan Hospital, Shanghai, surrounded by his wife, children, and loved ones. A memorial service was held in Long Hua Funeral Home, Shanghai on January 12, 2012, attended by hundreds of friends and associates around the world. In the morning of July 28, 2012. A small group of Shuang's friends and his family gathered at Westview Cemetery in Lexington, MA to say goodbye to Shuang one more time. We shared our memories of Shuang. A friend presented Shuang with grapes from his garden. The grapes were from a seedling given by Shuang in 2008. The plant bears fruit for the first time this summer.
